With the season just around the corner, we take a look at some of the best odds to win the 2020 Super Bowl. Though Brady and the Patriots are still the favorites, as they are everywhere, this year they have company at the top with the Maholmes lead Chiefs also having 6-1 odds to hoist the Vince Lombardi trophy at the end of the year.

That said there's a few teams with outside odds that the more opportunistic among us might want to entertain before the season starts. We count down five underdogs to take home the hardware in 2020 that have the best return on investment.

5. San Francisco 49ers

Lost for most of last year, Jimmy G is back and ready to roll in the Bay area for the 2019-2020. The 49ers are flying under the radar after a rather unsexy offseason that managed to resolve many of the issues they seemed to have with and without Jimmy Garoppolo under center. They signed a potential superstar of an edge rusher in Nick Bosa with the number 2 overall pick an then found what could be their top wideout at Wide Receiver with their second pick in Deebo Samuel.

Don't sleep on Sixth Round pick, TE Kaden Smith, to make a big impact in this offense in two tight end sets opposite All-Pro George Kittle.

Odds: 40-1

4. Green Bay Packers

The Packers went boom or bust in the offseason with the new staff looking to make a splash as their time with Aaron Rodgers looks to be nearing an end. Many were shocked to seem them let OLB Clay Matthews Jr. and WR Randall Cobb go. However the acquisitions of Za'Darius Smith and OLB Preston Smith could lead to a lethal linebacking corpse when the season starts.

If there's anything to be certain of, it's that no one is going to bet against Aaron Rodgers to bring home the trophy.

Odds: 14-1

3. Houston Texans

The Houston Texans have orchestrated one of the great offseason's in franchise history. Two key additions to the secondary in safety Tashaun Gipson to a three-year, $22.5 million contract, as well as cornerback Bradley Roby to a one-year, $10 million contract should lead to one of the better secondaries in the league (after having one of the leagues' worst). We rate it as one of the better offseason's they've had because, like the Giants, they proved that it is possible to get through an offseason without committing to one terrible contract.

Odds: 30-1

2. Atlanta Falcons

Last year was a disaster for the Falcons whose offensive line struggled through an unprecedented amount of injuries. This year they took no chances with their two first round picks: OG Chris Lindstrom from Boston College and RT Kaleb McGary from Washington. With Julio and Matt Ryan back and healthy supported by a young and healthy offensive line, the falcons seem very dangerous especially with a 30-1 return.

Odds: 30-1

1. Cleveland Browns

Too cliche?

The Cleveland Browns offseason was highlighted by acquiring wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. in a trade that was talked about through the year. In addition to acquiring Kareem Hunt for pennies on the dollar (we'll see if he sticks) to potentially backup Nick Chubb, just look at the embarrassment of riches await Baker Mayfield in a preview of their starting lineup:

  • running back Nick Chubb
  • wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr.
  • wide receiver Jarvis Landry
  • tightend David Njoku
  • tightend Demetrius Harris
  • left tackle Greg Robinson
  • left guard Joel Bitonio
  • center J.C. Tretter
  • right guard Austin Corbett
  • right tackle Chris Hubbard

The defense might be less exciting but is in no way inferior. Here's a look at their likely starting defense:

  • left end Myles Garrett
  • right end Olivier Vernon
  • right tackle Larry Ogunjobi
  • left tackle Sheldon Richardson
  • middle linebacker Joe Schobert
  • linebacker Genard Avery
  • linebacker Christian Kirksey
  • free safety Damarious Randall
  • strong safety Derrick Kinderd
  • right cornerback Denzel Ward
  • left cornerback Terrance Mitchell

Odds: 16-1
