This Super Bowl Squares contest is a free, online game created by your commissioner.

While there are some common scoring rules across different contests, we give contest commissioners the freedom to create their own rules for their squares contest.

Whether you’re new to the concept or a seasoned squares aficionado, we've found it's best to make sure you're familiar with the specific rules of your contest, so you know exactly what to cheer for when watching the game.

Any questions you have about the rules of this contest should be directed towards your contest commissioner, whose contact information is found at the top of every page in this contest.

Overview
Each square is $5. Buy as many squares you would like! The more squares that are bought, the greater the payout for the winners!

The setup for Super Bowl squares is simple.

One Super Bowl team—gets the columns and the other gets the rows. Each of the 100 squares inside are purchased individually from 0 to 9.

The numbers assigned to each row and column are selected at random once every box of the pool has been sold. Numbers are computer generated and are NOT selected by VIDA. They are completely random. Numbers will be assigned at Noon, Feb. 7.

How to win
At the end of every quarter, the person whose square corresponds with the intersection of the second digit of each team’s score wins a $50 (!!) prize (for example, a 14–7 score at the end of the first quarter pays out the owner of the square at row 4, column 7).

That's a payout of up to $200 per grid!

NOTE! if an empty square wins a quarter that money rolls over to the next quarter. For example if the square is blank in Q2 (eg. no one has purchased it), but there IS a winner in Q3 that person wins $100. BUT, if there is no winner at the end of Q4 VIDA keeps the Q4 earnings. SO ... SELL THOSE SQUARES. We want full grids!

As in past years we will have multiple-grids. When the first grid fills up we will open another, and another, and another, etc. If you get a message that a grid is full please text Maggie Swearingen (703-966-3184) and VIDA will open a new grid. Grids do not open automatically. VIDA must open them manually and each grid will have a unique URL. Please follow email and social media where we will publish new URLs as grids open.

Please pay the full amount for your squares as soon as you select them. (eg. $5 per square, 4 squares =$20 due). Please put in the notes section your name, the names on your squares, and how many you purchased. Also, if you have a dancer in the school or if you're buying as a family member or friend of a specific dancer, please let us know.

All squares MUST be paid by 5 p.m. Friday, Feb. 5. Unpaid squares will be DELETED. Please see payment rules for more details regarding payout.

At the end of every quarter the winning square will win $50. The final score will payout $100. In the event of a "blank" square the money for that quarter rolls over to the next quarter. We will try, however, to avoid blank squares and "fully" sell out brackets. If there is a blank square at the end of Q4 that money will stay with VIDA. Let's sell those squares!

There are four winners for each grid. The same square is eligible to win more than once.

Winners will be posted after each quarter on the KBID Families Only FB Page. Winners will also be contacted by VIDA at the close of the competition to confirm payment details. Winners will receive a check (either in person or via mail) no later than Feb. 28, 2021 with their winnings.

Payment this year is via electronic payment only. In the past the collection of cash and checks spread across multiple dance studios and class nights has occasionally caused confusion. This year we are instituting a digital-only payment system to a) allow for participants from ANYWHERE to participate and b) produce a "receipt" of purchase on both the participant side and for VIDA.
