A Note From the Website
This Super Bowl Squares contest is a free, online game created by your commissioner.
While there are some common scoring rules across different contests, we give contest commissioners the freedom to create their own rules for their squares contest.
Whether youβre new to the concept or a seasoned squares aficionado, we've found it's best to make sure you're familiar with the specific rules of your contest, so you know exactly what to cheer for when watching the game.
Any questions you have about the rules of this contest should be directed towards your contest commissioner, whose contact information is found at the top of every page in this contest.
General Rules
The game starts with a 10-by-10 grid, or 100 individual squares β each of which is assigned a universal price tag, in this case, $25 per square. If you would like to participate, please venmo $25 per square to @tritons_baseball or Zelle (enter our team email β [email protected]) or cash/check (checks made out to Andy Jones) and make sure to put Tritons squares for venmo/zelle.
Before the Super Bowl kicks off, participants purchase individual boxes β generally as many as they wish β until all 100 of them are accounted for. The numbers 0-9 are then assigned to the columns and rows (at random), giving two numbers to each individual cell. One axis represents the last digit of the NFC team's score and the other represents the last digit of the AFC team's score. Whoever has the correct digits of the score at the end of each quarter will win the prize amount for that quarter.
Prizes
2nd quarter: $250
