This Super Bowl Squares contest is a free, online game created by your commissioner.

While there are some common scoring rules across different contests, we give contest commissioners the freedom to create their own rules for their squares contest.

Whether you’re new to the concept or a seasoned squares aficionado, we've found it's best to make sure you're familiar with the specific rules of your contest, so you know exactly what to cheer for when watching the game.

Any questions you have about the rules of this contest should be directed towards your contest commissioner, whose contact information is found at the top of every page in this contest.

HOW IT WORKS:
1) Click on a cell to claim it. Each square is $5.

2) Add up how much you owe and follow instructions for how to send payment to Wendy. Send payment by 8:00 pm ET on February 7. If you don't make payment by the deadline, your name will be removed and the square sold to someone else.

3) Once all the squares have been selected, numbers will be randomly generated from 0-9 for each team in the Super Bowl, and assign that number to a particular row or column. These numbers represent the last number in the score of each team. In other words, if the score is AFC 17 - NFC 14, then the winning square is the one with an AFC number of 7, and an NFC number of 4.

THE NUMBERS FOR THE FOOTBALL SQUARES WILL BE SELECTED WHEN THE GRID IS FILLED.

4) Based on the score at the end of each quarter, there is a payout.

Winnings Payout for Squares:

End of 1st Quarter: $100
End of 2nd Quarter: $100
End of 3rd Quarter: $100
End of Game: $200
