A Note From the Website

This Super Bowl Squares contest is a free, online game created by your commissioner.

While there are some common scoring rules across different contests, we give contest commissioners the freedom to create their own rules for their squares contest.

Whether you’re new to the concept or a seasoned squares aficionado, we've found it's best to make sure you're familiar with the specific rules of your contest, so you know exactly what to cheer for when watching the game.

Any questions you have about the rules of this contest should be directed towards your contest commissioner, whose contact information is found at the top of every page in this contest.

General Rules
This is not your typical type box pool that has payouts by Quarter, Halftime, etc… In this pool we pay out every time a point is scored in the game. 2 boxes will pay out: the person who owns that score as well as the person that owns the reverse score.

Example: NFC Team kicks a field goal and makes the score 3-0. The person that owns NFC 3, AFC 0 wins $400. In addition, the person who owns AFC 3, NFC 0 wins $100.

Prizes
The payout process happens for every single point scored in the game - the TD for 6 points and then again for the extra point.

The lucky person who gets the numbers 0,0 will win $500 at the start of the game since they will have both the winning ($400) and opposite ($100) numbers.

Lastly, the final pot is TBD as it is based on how many scoring plays there are in the game. The more scores means the lower the final pot as people will be getting paid for each score in the game.

This pool can handle a MAX of 20 payouts

When this happens we will need to take a percentage off each payout and that will be determined by the number of extra scoring plays.

The amount of scores will determine the final payout to the person who has the final score and the person who has the opposite of the final score. They will split the remaining pot at 75/25%.

So if the final score is NFC 24 – AFC 20, the box with NFC 4 – AFC 0 wins 75% of the remaining pot and the box with AFC 4 – NFC 0 wins 25% of the remaining pot.

Pool administration fee - Chris and I take a total of 5 boxes (5%) for running the pool so the total pot is $9,500.
