This Super Bowl Squares contest is a free, online game created by your commissioner.
While there are some common scoring rules across different contests, we give contest commissioners the freedom to create their own rules for their squares contest.
Whether you’re new to the concept or a seasoned squares aficionado, we've found it's best to make sure you're familiar with the specific rules of your contest, so you know exactly what to cheer for when watching the game.
Any questions you have about the rules of this contest should be directed towards your contest commissioner, whose contact information is found at the top of every page in this contest.
General Rules
Halftime Score: $250
Final Score: $500
Once a square has been purchased ($20 ea), your name will be assigned to a randomly selected square. Squares can be purchased on the Golf Tournament page of the Booster Club website.(www.CometsAthleticBoosters.com). Purchase as many squares as you want. You will be emailed a confirmation of your square(s) assignment.
Once the contest fills or the game starts, numbers will be randomly generated and assigned across the top and left side of the grid, replacing the current letters. Because basketball scores are constantly changing, every square has an equal chance of winning.
The last number in each team’s score is matched with the grid and the owner of the square where those numbers intersect is the winner. (Example: The total score at the end of the 1st half is "Winning Team" 34, "Losing Team" 31. The last number for the "Winning Team" is 4, and the last number for the "Losing Team" is 1. The square on the game board that intersects at "Winning Team" number 4 and "Losing Team" number 1 would be the winner of the Halftime prize).
The same applies for the Final Score.
If not all squares are sold:
* If the winning square at Halftime is not sold, the prize will roll and be added to the Final Score prize.
* If the Final Score square is not sold, the prize will be split with the filled squares to the top, bottom and each side of the winning square.
